Competella was a SaaS company offering communications software and solutions, mainly integrated in Microsoft Teams.
The visual identity aimed to harmonize with the Microsoft brand and the variety of UI’s and contexts where the two companies might appear together.
The logo symbol – a headset and the letter C combined – doubles as one of the custom icons used within the Teams client. A set of decorative illustrations were created using the same building blocks as the icons.A tight kerning was used for the wordmark. This brings the first two letters in the name together, mimicing the shapes in the symbol.
Competella was acquired in 2022 by Canadian based software and services company Enghouse Systems Ltd and subsequently branded accordingly.
